Hey Family,

A few months have passed since our last update and just wanted to take a few moments to share what has been taking place here in Durango, Mexico.

2025 is already just flying bye, it feels like the days are faster. Church at CC Durango has been really an amazing time, every week just about we see people making confessions for Christ, truly there is a hunger in the world today. As we look at social media the pull of this world people are realizing in many ways that nothing this world has to offer can truly satisfy the deep longings in the human soul.. We sing a hymn in Spanish SOLO DIOS HACE EL HOMBRE FELIZ, ( ONLY GOD CAN MAKE MAN HAPPY) That is a battle the most of us have faced seeking and searching but Christ alone can bring true joy and peace into ones life. As we have served the people of Durango for going on 16 years this is our message that God in Christ Jesus through His sacrifice on the cross, was reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, but instead offers reconciliation, restoration.

These past few months have also had various challenges, I would like to share 2 of those in regards to the school and Church. Last month the equivalent of what would be city inspectors showed up to our facility, we are now in a very lengthy and bureaucratic process, plus many things have to be added to our facility to have everything up to code, unfortunately there exists a lot of corruption and getting everything right depends on who you know or what you can pay. So please pray for us that God would grant us favor with the authorities.

Also last week one of our dear teachers fell in our parking lot and broke her ankle in various places and needed an emergency surgery ( Please pray for Gladys), as we dont have or offer any form of insurance this has placed upon us an extra financial burden, to help with some of the cost of the surgery and also to cover salary while she recovers. As we began this process of starting a school 4 years ago by faith there are so many things we did not take into consideration, during covid all we thought about is what is happening to our children and wanting to be a blessing and serve are community. Praise God up to this point we have not suffered any kind of accident but sooner or later accidents happen. This also has brought to my attention the need for some kind of Insurance which is also a requirement we need to have to be up to code.  With that can I please ask you all for prayers for divine wisdom as to what decisions to make going forward. The spiritual warfare at times is very difficult and it almost feels like the enemy is hitting us with a strategic attack. Pray also that the Lord would protect us.

In regards to our building project we are currently waiting to begin the second faze, we are trusting the Lord to supply the funds needed.

The Bentley family,
I Jay have not shared this with many people, but a few years back I started having what has been best described to me as vertigo, maybe once every 2-3 months which is manageable to a certain degree. This past year has been filled with many days of great difficulty in regards to my health I have not felt a hundred percent for a while. Gods grace alone has kept me and I have seen the Lord move even in the midst of my physical situation. If you remember please pray for my health.

My wife Carmen is doing well, at home with Vivianna, and Christian as they do most of their schooling. Please pray for Carmen as she ministers to the women every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

Our oldest Daughter Rebecca is now almost done with her year of medical residency, in the summer of this year she will begin a year of service where the government assigns her a place to serve the community. We are praying that she will be able to stay in the surrounding area of Durango. Please help us pray.

Jay Jr. is back living in San Antonio working.

Abigail in the beginning of January made a huge move to Mexico City and is working for an agency that does photo shoots and commercials for various companies.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this update we love you all, and truly are thankful for your prayers and all of your financial support. May the Lord fill you with His love, that you might with all the saints enjoy a deeper relationship with Him..

As the Lord leads if you would like to give to support our family and the work of CC Durango you can give to:
